How Dosentra Works, Receipt to Destruction

Follow a controlled substance through its full lifecycle — every step documented, every dose accounted for.

1
Receive & Verify
When a shipment arrives, staff log each drug by NDC and tag it for tracking. For controlled substances, a second staff member can witness and confirm the received count, so the chain of custody starts with two-party accountability rather than a single unverified entry.

2
Store & Monitor
Tagged inventory is visible across rooms and storage locations in real time. The system tracks manufacturer expiration, clinic-defined use-by dates, and patient-assigned doses, surfacing what needs attention before it becomes an audit finding.

3
Administer & Document
At the point of care, the administering provider logs the dose against a secure, anonymized session ID — never a patient name. Quantity, time, provider, and monitoring details are captured in the moment, so nothing has to be reconstructed later.

4
Reconcile
For multi-use vials, the system maintains a running balance of what was drawn, administered, and wasted. Any variance is flagged immediately under a zero-tolerance policy, so discrepancies surface as they happen rather than at inspection.

Witness & Destroy
When a drug is wasted or destroyed, the event is logged with lot, quantity, reason, and method, and confirmed by a witness before it's finalized. The two-party record is captured at the moment of destruction, not added afterward.

Report & Export
From the accumulated records, Dosentra generates DEA Form 41 and audit-ready reports on demand. When leadership or an inspector asks for a count, a waste log, or a destruction record, the documentation is already structured and ready to export.
